Meghan Uhl
Meghan Uhl is the founder of 416™ Pilates and The 416™ Method, a precision-based restorative movement system designed to help people move with greater strength, mobility, resilience, and confidence for life.
With more than 30 years of experience in movement education, Meghan has dedicated her career to helping people reconnect to their bodies through intelligent, sustainable movement. Her work integrates precision-based Pilates, restorative movement, fascia-focused training, biomechanics, and nervous system-informed practices to support long-term movement health and whole-body resilience.
“Movement should support your life — not wear your body down. When the body learns to move efficiently, restore balance, and reconnect to itself, strength and healing become possible in an entirely different way.”
Known for her depth of knowledge and highly individualized approach, Meghan has studied extensively, and mentored both clients and movement professionals across the country. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that modern bodies require more than exercise alone — they require restoration, intelligent progression, and movement that works with the body rather than against it.
Meghan is a Integrated Movement Educator for Balanced Body® and FUSE® Ladder, a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), and one of only a select number of MELT Method® Level 5 Instructors in Illinois. Her advanced understanding of the fascia system, biomechanics, postural alignment, and nervous system regulation has made her a respected educator within the restorative movement and Pilates communities.
As founder of The 416™ Academy for Pilates Education, Meghan developed a comprehensive teacher-training program designed to educate the next generation of restorative movement educators. The Academy combines precision-based Pilates training with anatomy, movement science, restorative conditioning, and real-world teaching application to create instructors who understand not only how the body moves — but how people learn, adapt, and heal through movement.
Under Meghan’s leadership, 416™ has become known for its thoughtful, highly personalized approach to movement education and restorative training. Her mentorship extends beyond instructor development into studio consulting and business mentorship, where she helps movement professionals and studio owners grow with greater clarity, sustainability, and integrity.
